The Math Book is designed to help introduce children ages from 2-4 years old to math and school. This learning tool contains sections that can help them develop and learn math and creativity skills that will be relevant once they start school. This toy concentrates on the creative and cognitive side used independently by the user or with a teacher. The format of the Math Book is designed to resemble a notebook binder which will help them get prepared for school while having fun and incorporating play. This product can also be used in pre-schools as a teaching tool. This toy is also manipulative, quiet and social play. It is manipulative because there are pieces that you can interact with and the whole thing is cause there are pieces that you can interact with. The toy is meant to be played while sitting down or in a relaxed phase like reading a book which is why it is quiet play as well. The Math book can be played with an adult or with other children because learning while having social interactions will be beneficial to a child’s memory growth

At 2-4 years old, children are able to recognize differences in shapes, colours, and associate things by similarity. The first two pages of the Math Book uses the same number blocks to help children associate the appearance of the numbers to its meaning. The last page teaches the user shapes and what can you do with it. The content of the book concentrates on the brain development of children. It allows them to create reasoning like “If this is...., then....” Learning through association is an effective way to teach children. The design of tthe Math Book focuses on the non-loccmotor skills such as hand flexibility and movement. Children in this age group has a more developed non-locomotor than locomotor skills. They have mastered simple hand-eye movements over whole body coordination. The Math Book only requires hand and eye coordination to allow them to concentrate on the thinking aspect of the game. At this age, children gradually learn how to be independent. They prefer having their own things and doing things in their own way.
